Injection bonded Samarium Iron Nitride (SmFeN) magnets combine the advantages of rare-earth magnetic strength with the processability of polymer-based molding. SmFeN offers a powerful alternative to bonded NdFeB with superior corrosion resistance and remarkable temperature stability up to 150°C.
These magnets are produced by compounding fine SmFeN powder with thermoplastic binder materials and injection molding the mixture into near-net shapes. The result is a dimensionally precise, high-performance magnet ideally suited for small, complex, or high-speed assemblies.
